Although the majority of Sun Sounds' listeners are over the age of 60, they range in ages from nine to 100. While some listeners are blind, many others have less severe visual impairments or are disabled by disease, quadriplegia, dyslexia, etc.
Because these listeners have a wide variety of interests, abilities, and disabilities, we strive to provide enough diversity in our programming to meet the various needs of these individuals. Through continuous surveys throughout the year, Sun Sounds determines how it is serving its market. Our listeners give us suggestions and input on programming.
Every six months, each listener receives a program guide (available in large print, cassette, Braille or disk) that lists the daily schedule of programs. We invite you to browse through one of the large print guides so that you may become more familiar with the variety of programming which our service provides.
