National Forum Highlights Presidential Candidates' Visions of Future Disability Policy

On Thursday, August 21 at 1pm and Sunday, August 24 at 3pm Sun Sounds of Arizona will rebroadcast the historic, non-partisan forum on national disability policy that was held on July 26, 2008 in Columbus, Ohio, and included the presumptive 2008 presidential candidates or their surrogates.

Sun Sounds Director Bill Pasco receives Liberty Accessibility Advocate Award

Bill Pasco, Director of Sun Sounds of Arizona, received the 2008 Americans with Disabilities (ADA) "Liberty Accessibility Advocate" award from the Arizona Disability Advocacy Coalition (AZDAC) on July 24th, at a celebration at the Arizona State Capitol in honor of the 18th anniversary of the ADA.

Birdies Keep Sun Sounds “On Par” To Continue Excellence In Information Access

Sun Sounds of Arizona received more than $1,600 in pledges and matched contributions from the 2008 FBR Open Birdies for Charity program, sponsored by The Thunderbirds Charities.

Major grant award builds the future

Sun Sounds Foundation received $102,000 from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. The Funds will be used to upgrade equipment and technology of the broadcast network of stations to improve service to 49,000 visually impaired subscribers and prospective listeners.
